LEATHER TYPE

Shell Cordovan leather is exceptionally durable. The pores are so dense on the horse's rump that they are not visible to the naked eye. This leather is naturally water-resistant (though not waterproof) and elastic. Shell Cordovan is a truly rare and unique material. It possesses an intense sheen, a texture that doesn't crease, a pleasant leather aroma, and the ability to develop and maintain these characteristics over time. Since creases can lead to cracks in the leather, its tendency to ripple rather than fold helps preserve the surface and overall durability of the footwear. Additionally, Shell Cordovan ages very well and develops a particularly beautiful patina over time. The leather itself doesn't take much dye, so it is primarily found in dark shades of brown, black, and the so-called "cordovan" color, which is a dark burgundy.
